Facilities and Process Allergy TherapeuticsAllergy Therapeutics manufactures allergy products at their Freeman site in the UK, overseeing the entire production process from source material through to release of the final drug product. All source materials are tested by the quality control laboratory before use and are released to manufacturing pending approval. Testing is performed throughout the process to ensure that the highest quality is maintained and the product will meet specifications.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Licences

Allergy Therapeutics (UK) Ltd is in possession of a UK Manufacturer’s/Importer’s Licence, a UK Manufacturer’s Authorisation – Investigational Medicinal Products and a UK Manufacturer’s Specials Licence for certain pharmaceuticals. These cover manufacturing, assembly and storage. In addition, Allergy Therapeutics (UK) Ltd hold a UK Wholesale Dealer’s Licence which permits distribution of medicinal products.

There are two manufacturing facilities at Allergy Therapeutics (UK) Ltd.

Freeman Building:

Primary manufacturing operations are undertaken here, as well as providing component preparation areas and cold stores. Quality control, development laboratories, packaging areas, engineering plant rooms, cold stores and offices are also found on the first floor. Production operations include the preparation of sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical intermediates and finished products.

Noon Building:

This is used as a warehouse as well as providing clean room facility, inspection, labelling and packaging functions for named patient vaccines which are manufactured in response to a doctors' prescription for individual patients.
