Internal Control

The Board has ultimate responsibility for the internal control systems maintained by the Group. The systems are designed to manage rather than eliminate risk. They provide only reasonable (not absolute) assurance against material misstatement or loss and include the safeguarding of assets, the maintenance of proper accounting records, the reliability of financial information, compliance with appropriate legislation, regulation and best practice, and the identification and management of business risk. The Company has an internal audit function, reporting directly to the Audit Committee, which carries out regular reviews of the Company's subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.

The Slavery Act

The Company maintains high standards in accordance with pharmaceutical regulations and its internal quality controls when dealing with its businesses and suppliers.

It has taken no additional steps during the financial year to ensure the businesses and its supply chains are slavery free.
